Being driven and performance focused, the journey of many remote workers in Nigeria, is a mix of successes, plateaux and indigeneous problem solving. Majority of their time is spent figuring how to work than the actual work. Thats a lot of hours every week of inner dialogue and physical discomfort - arguably the two biggest obstacles any worker would face and there's another - Loneliness.
An app allowing workers to find workspaces around, check for reviews and how much it is to book for a specific duration. Also to create a strong and vibrant community of like minded individuals
Remote work is needlessly a solitary practice. Workers who spend countless of hours to work find it more easier and motivating to work around people.
POC app to capture initial user feedback in order to build a compelling business case for further development opportunities

Design thinking driven product concept development
Two weeks of discovery and ideation, followed by a week of rapid prototyping and demostrator product
We started by researching the existing market tailored for coworking spaces. After multiple forum review and questionaires, we gathered 50 response, primarily via social network and 1 on 1 interviews. This data allowed us to paint a clearer picture of issues remote workers face when they try to work alone and face an inner voice telling them to fous their energy on something else. This provided us with enough information to build user profiles for further research.
While interviewing remote workers and reviewing multiple studies we found out that working out of you house and seeing other people work is a behavoral change and motivation. Coiuntless subject reported that having people arond being productive or just working on stuff around you makes work joyful. In the end these people spend countless hours every week by themselves, so there's a need for solution to help make a part of their work sessions social. What followed to map the existing user experience to identify other pain points and exact areas for opportunity development.
Based on discovery research findings we came up with 3 hypothesis to ensure product adoption. These covered essential “security/privacy”, comfortability & motivation.
These features were listed and mapped based on technical complexity, potential business and user effieciency values.
The highest impact were expected to be included in the product POC.
Focusing on high impact feature sets allowed us to create a story that could be split into a few major user scenarios: booking ahead for a space, checking the reviews, privacy settings and personalized profile options.
The below listed previews show major steps taken into prototyping effort to bring these scenarios to life
POC prototype has been tested on 10 Users in order to validate our hypotesis. We used the previously defined storyline to guide users through our prototype.
We also recorded real time user interactions to review and compare test sessions later. We also wanted to capture anecdoctal evidence and input which we could use for potential business case development/pitch deck
Based on findings from both UX research and POC Validation sessions, we were able to come up with a list of changes that were able to come up with a list of changes that were addresed and updated in the Prototype.
Talking to people one on one brought us to even more insight of true user needs. We also understood that further development would require strong business case to raise investment or big enough early adopter base to get momentum.
We also discovered a unique opportunity to deliver value to both users and the business.
Finally engagement of the business increased by 25% during this testing period. 10% increase time spent increased on the POC app.
